It was a good week for Team CBI!
I want to say "thank you" to Chris Thein, Steve Smith & Rod Pettigrew,
When Chef Mark Mattern (Art Institute of Jax) called me today as I was leaving Sawgrass CC in Ponte Vedra Beach around 6:30 pm explaining his emergency situation, I first did not think it possible. But Chris Thein, Steve Smith & Rod helped me find a way to help our customer in a potential time of desperate need. To think that in less than a half hour I had permission to get him a trailer to help preserve his perishables to me is nothing less than incredible. There is very few distributors who would even think of doing that with advance notice, let alone 30 minutes...
I know I can speak on behalf of Chef Mattern when I say "WOW"... very impressive. I have been a chef for 33 years of my life, and to think a independent broad line distributor would come to the plate like that in such a short time truly makes Cheney Brothers, Inc. "A diamond in the rough"...

Words cannot express my gratitude for all your help with the Extreme Makover: Home Edition event. Everyone went above and beyond the call of duty to help with this amazing effort. We ended up feeding over 400 people four meals a day and did it all at no cost to Builders Care, the charity involved in the build.

Good afternoon sir. My name is Ralph Lupton and I own Lupton’s restaurant and catering
in Temple Terrace, Florida. and your boys have been trying to get in here and sell me
product for some time and as a matter of fact we received an invitation and we went
down to your big BBQ and had a great time down there – but that’s not the reason for
my call.
Your salesman has been doing a nice job and we have been enjoying some prices and
you’ve been enjoying getting more and more and more of your competitions business
which I know you’re glad to hear – that is not my reason for calling either.
My reason for calling is day before yesterday one of my trucks was going to Lakeland, a
catering truck, we were going over to feed about 500 people for lunch when our truck
just quite running – it broke down. And we were about an hour and a half from serving
time and they were about where the truck stop is. And one of your trucks, one of your
Cheney Brothers delivery trucks, was on the interstate heading towards
the Plant City/Lakeland area ...
